Day 1: Wednesday, August 5, 2009
Day 2: Thursday, August 6, 2009
Day 3: Friday, August 7, 2009
Day 4: Saturday, August 8, 2009
Day 5: Sunday, August 9, 2009
  • AM: 
    • Group splits, canoing on Wye Marsh / Tours, hiking and indian lifestyle
    • Then lunch
  • Walk to St. Ignace (there, Ss. John de Brebeuf and Gabriel Lalemant were martyred). 
  • Camp at St. Ignace; Sunday Mass, reading of the martyrdom on location during adoration

Day 6: Monday, August 10, 2009
  • Mass at St. Ignace, & spiritual exercises there (Mass, Adoration)
  • PM: Tour of St. Marie Historical Village
  • Walk to shrine (accross the street, nice & close)
  • Arrive pm at the Shrine of the Jesuit Martyrs, get settled, Evening Prayer

Day 7: Tuesday, August 11, 2009
  • Full day at the Shrine of the Jesuit Martyrs, spiritual exercises (talks, rosaries, etc.) and recreation (ultimate frisbee, volleyball, soccer)
  • Special Mass - not concelebrated - for Trailblazers

Day 8: Wednesday, August 12, 2009
  • Morning: Final Mass of the Pilgrimage
  • Visit at Niagara Falls for a late lunch or early dinner
  • If it was lunch, stop for Subways on way back to Detroit??
  • Return late to Assumption Grotto

Spiritual Exercises of Each Day:
  • Morning Prayer from breviary (Christian Prayer)
  • Mass
  • 1/2 hour adoration
  • Rosary (usually while walking)
  • Divine Mercy Chaplet (usually while walking)
  • Evening Prayer from breviary (Christain Prayer)
  • Spiritual talk with Fr. Ward and Q&A
  • Novena
