A Fourth of July Thought from the Editor

Letter from the Editor
Volume 2 Issue 10 July 2007

Fellow Trailblazers,

Firt I would like to extend an apology to all.  I have fallen way behind in getting out the Compass.  The past few months have been crazy with finishing up high school and the graduation stuff that comes with that wonderful accomplishment.  Unfortunately, I let set the Compass on a back burner, so to speak, and focused more on finishing school and finding a job. Thank God I have now succesfuly graduated from high school and am now employed.  Now I can focus on getting the Compass out.

My apology written (and hopefully accepted) I can move on with my letter. First I would like to invite all those who receive the Compass to consider coming to World Youth Day 2008 with Trailblazers. More pilgrims are always welcome and we would love to have you join our small, yet close group, to visit Pope Benedict in Sydney, Austrailia.  (I would like you all to know that there will be special lessons before the trip to help all pilgrims to learn how to walk 'down under'. Just Kidding!!!)  Please consider joining us for the experience of a life time. For more info on World Youth Day visit our website.

The Fourth of July is this week, the day when our entire country celebrates our hard earned freedom.  I say hard earned because as most of you most likely know, our nation has fought many long and bitter wars in the past to preserve the freedom so greatly treasured by all Americans. That freedom that we so greatly treasure and people have sacrificed their lives for is slowly being twisted. The lives of American citizens are no longer falued as they should be. I am speaking of the pro-life issue, an internal battle that has been fought for many years. While we should no doubt celebrate this Fourth of July we should also wonder, what will we do to keep our God given freedom from being polutted. Let this be our prayer intention then this Fourth of July, that the freedom God has chosen to give us will remain pure
despite the hardships facing it.

God Bless You All!
